Terms of Service

These terms apply to Expense Agent, a private personal-finance application operated by Chris Lew.

Personal use

Expense Agent is maintained for the owner's personal use and is not offered for public registration, commercial use, or use by third parties.

Application functionality

The application imports financial transaction information, parses authorized Venmo email notifications, suggests expense categories, updates selected Google Sheets, and produces personal spending summaries.

No financial advice

Expense Agent is an organizational tool. Its categories, calculations, estimates, and summaries are not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Accuracy and availability

Transactions and categories may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, or incorrect. The owner is responsible for reviewing records before relying on them. The application is provided as-is without guarantees of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Third-party services

Expense Agent interacts with services provided by Google, Plaid, and OpenAI. Use of those services remains subject to their respective terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical limitations.

Access and termination

The owner may stop the application, remove stored credentials, revoke third-party access, or delete retained data at any time.

Changes

These terms may be revised as the application changes. The revision date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
